holy smokes, quite a story, i can relate to being an hour from walmart because I am, i live where there are no fast food restaurants, but i have never butchered anything to eat, maybe some fish once in awhile. I think it interesting you make your own lard and bread and cheese and everything, must be quite peaceful there i would imagine....

Liam McCurry and I are extremely touched by your perceptions of the New Mexico land we love. You've captured much of the essence of the Land of Enchantment.
